Blessings Of Ruin was a metalcore band from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, which leaned heavily into various metal influences. They were active between 2004-2009. BOR put together two self-recorded demos and their only official release, a two song promo in 2009.

"Originally starting as a recording project with intentions to acquire a full band, BOR saw it's slow beginning. Over the years there were many line up changes and a couple of demos recorded in a bedroom before the band finally saw stability with Cody Collins and Luke Marion on guitar, Eric McIntosh on bass, Tim Dillard on drums, and Nick Truchan on vocals. Arguably the heaviest band Berkshire County had seen, the members all drew from various influences but mostly in the forms of Metalcore, Melodic Death Metal, and Technical Deathcore. BOR had played numerous local shows as well as headlining a battle of the bands at Northern Lights (Albany, NY), opening for Within the Ruins at the Waterfront Tavern (Holyoke, MA), as well as sharing the stage with MA brutes Dysentery and Hivesmasher as well as NY titans Tentacles. With the "true" line up the band sought to record a newer demo as well as an EP towards their end. Unfortunately there always seemed to be issues with recording as files had been lost among other issues. When the band had just fallen into obscurity, only a 2 song demo had ever seen the light of day. We're happy to finally have our old friend Jason (of JHP Media) officially release this for digital consumption." - Nick
